Beedus & Jardin |

History

With an interior designer for a mom, a real estate investor for a dad, and a land developer for an uncle, Reed Woodson was groomed for this job from the moment he was born. His career began in San Francisco in 1997 when he acquired his first of several properties with his sister. After 5 years of successfully renovating and managing them, Woodson branched off on his own and moved to New York City in 2003. It was there that he cut his teeth with the process of holistic development, purchasing an apartment in SoHo that was in need of extensive work. After quickly growing frustrated with a string of exorbitantly priced bids, he decided to take on the renovation challenge himself. Along with a carpenter friend, Woodson lived in the property while gutting and refurbishing it, learning how to build at every phase of construction. Upon completion of the project, he received an unexpected bid to purchase the apartment that was too good to refuse. Immediately following the sale, Woodson delved right back in, buying and converting a 1BR wreck + roach-infested janitor's basement into a 2BR duplex, complete with chef's kitchen, steam room, sauna, radiant flooring, laundry room, and walk-in closet. Realizing he liked the total awareness and control that came with being in charge of all aspects of design/build, Woodson knew he had found his niche. So, with six years of buying, designing and building under his belt, Woodson started up Beedus & Jardin in 2010. The firm currently serves clients in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
